Welcome to Bayahibe, a small paradise in the Caribbean ! ….. Your Dominican holiday starts here on the south coast of the Dominican Republic, close to the third largest city La Romana. ….. Discover the beautiful Bayahibe village, explore the local life a bit too.
In the past Bayahibe was a small sleepy fishing village, where independent travelers stayed in the homes of the local families or in cabañas (cabins) as a base camp for exploring the wildlife preserve and extensive cave system in nearby Parque Nacional del Este (East National Park). Now Bayahibe became a popular tourist destination that caters to sun worshipers, scuba divers, snorkelers and adventure seekers. Upscale hotel chains have discovered the gorgeous coastline of the calm clear waters of the Caribbean sea and powdery white sand, the true picture perfect Caribbean coast.
Bayahibe area, only 15 minute drive from La Romana (the third largest city in Dominican republic) is divided into two parts – Bayahibe and Dominicus.
Bayahibe still remains a popular destination for independent travelers, a great place to explore the local life and taste the local food. But it is also a starting point for all boat excursions not only for visitors from the hotels in the area, but also for the thousands of tourists from Punta Cana resorts arriving daily.
Dominicus is about three miles east of Bayahibe, it is a more up-scale all-inclusive resort haven with a beautiful long beach, a small European community with some gift shops and coffee stops.
Come and discover Bayahibe yourself, we hope you will enjoy your stay …..
